Currently they are looking to hire a Trading Reliability Engineer.
What will you do?
As a Trading Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role at the heart of their complex tech environment. Making sure that they can release daily in a safe and controlled manner is a crucial part of the role as well as ensuring high availability, stability and performance. You will be troubleshooting and providing quick response to production issues but more importantly, you will solve the root cause of problems in a structural way.
This often involves helping eliminate downtime using the latest open source technologies, translating trading requests into concrete technical requirements, and working with focus teams to create and implement new sustainable solutions. You’ll coordinate, prioritize and plan the changes to their trading software to ensure smooth exchange migrations and quick time to market for new features and software.
You’ll be working closely with traders and a wide range of technologists such as developers, systems engineers, network engineers and performance engineers in a diverse technical landscape. One where many components interface and that manages a high-volume data flow over a low latency infrastructure to execute their trading strategies.
You will continuously improve and maintain their low latency Linux based trading and backend environment whilst managing and monitoring all their distributed systems, big data solutions and storage infrastructure.
There is a heavy focus on systems automation and CI/CD so they can deploy everything – hardware, software, solutions – rapidly and repeatable and also you will have to keep up with the latest technology trends in the industry so you are able to propose, evaluate and implement new solutions.
Who are you?
- A Trading Reliability Engineer with 1+ to max 3 years’ experience
- Key skills: Linux, Kubernetes, Bash, Python
- Experience in Site Reliability or DevOps is preferred
- Your mindset contains a sense of urgency, not afraid to fail and getting the job done. This characteristic is extremely important
- Solid understanding of the Linux Operating System
- Experience with building and maintaining ML pipelines
- Experience deploying, testing, and administrating Kubernetes clusters
- Advanced experience with automated provisioning and systems configuration management
- A knack for troubleshooting
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered and high-performance storage technologies
